This romantic comedy examines Emily Dickinson's writing process, her unsuccessful attempts to be published in her lifetime and her lifelong romantic relationship with another woman.
Through a special arrangement with Harvard University Press, this film features onscreen the poems and letters of the poet Emily Dickinson (played by comedian and SNL alum Molly Shannon) and dramatizes the lesser-known side of the famous poet--her passionate relationship with her sister-in-law Susan Gilbert (Susan Ziegler). (PG-13; 85 min)
