Use the engineering design process to draft and build a satellite to orbit Mars. Then work together to create a balloon rocket to launch the satellite.
NASA's BEST activities were developed by a team from the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center’s Office of Education using the steps engineers use to guide them in problem solving. Engineers must ask a question, imagine a solution, plan a design, create that model, experiment and test that model, and then take the time to improve the original — all steps that are crucial to mission success at NASA. Limited seating available; first come, first served. Tickets available 30 minutes before program.
