Insurance and Long-Term Healthcare With MD Legal Aid
Spotlight on Caregiving
Wednesday, August 26
12:00pm - 1:00pm
Learn to make informed decisions either as a caregiver or for yourself on accessing healthcare, long-term healthcare, senior living scenarios and other legal issues around health and aging.
Caregivers often deal with complex decisions that affect both themselves and their loved ones. Lawyers from Maryland Legal Aid discuss accessing health care and long-term care under Medicare and Medicaid and share information about home and community based services for older adults. Learn about signing a nursing home contract for someone else and understand your rights when in a nursing home or assisted living facility. Get the knowledge and guidance you need to make an informed decision for someone else. Presentation includes a Q&A segment. This program is made possible by a grant from the Baltimore County Department of Aging’s Caregiver Support Program.
