Learn rhythm, rhyme and poetry while using figurative language as tools of literary expression in the form of spoken word and hip-hop lyricism with Femi the Drifish.
As part of the Randallstown Branch’s 10th annual Black History Celebration, Femi the DriFish joins us to create spoken word poetry. Femi Lawal, or Femi the DriFish, has been a professional spoken word artist and slam poet for more than 10 years. Femi uses his artistry to encourage his listeners to discover their own unique voices and identities in his writings, performances and teachings. In addition to increasing literacy and understanding of context, spoken word poetry lends to the performing arts and builds confidence in public speaking.
