Ayesha Rascoe, host of NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday, talks with Dr. Steve D. Mobley Jr. of Morgan State University about her book HBCU Made, now out in paperback.
HBCU Made: A Celebration of the Black College Experience brings together stories of famous alumni from several different colleges, including Oprah Winfrey, Stacy Abrams and Branford Marsalis. Edited and introduced by Rascoe, a proud graduate of Howard University, the stories within serve as a testament as to why the HBCU experience is still relevant, and why we, as a community, need to support them.
